Good plot. Some light laughter but the language is not to my sensitive taste. I want to read and enjoy a book without cuss words.
FUN LIGHT EASY READING. VERY ENJOYABLE. A BIT PREDICTABLE WITHE SOME TWISTS BUT HAVE DECIDED THAT I LOVE THIS AUTHOR AND THE LOVE THE 2 BOOKS I HAVE READ SO FAR. CANNOT WAIT TO START ON ANOTHER WHEN I AM ON VACATION NEXT WEEK! SIMILAR WRITING STYLE AS SOPHIE KINSELLA -GREAT READ-LOVED IT!
I thought it was a fun read, but the sexualization of the female characters surprises me. As if the only say to get a man to pay attention to us is to get naked and seduce him. When female writers with female antagonists promote this kind of thinking it makes me cringe. Other than that it was okay.
I adored The Bucket List so was prepared to be dazzled by this title - and it didn't disappoint. So fun and witty, and although the heroine drove me mildly insane at times, this was such an enjoyable chick lit story and I love this author's "voice."
I thought this book would be a soppy story of a girl who was dumped. I was so surprised and pleased by the actual story! It was a lot of fun and very funny. Well written and thought out. I had a few laugh out loud moments and one really good cry. I think any one that is in a relationship with a sport addicted partner will sympathise with Lexi. Whay a great book
She's too "good" and she doesn't get even. The book drags on and on...I only had two chapters to go, but I gave up on her. I figured when she finally did get even it would be a disappointment so I made up my own ending which I'm sure was better. Stop while you're ahead and imagine a spineless girl who is manipulative and does all the wrong things girls do that upset men in the first place.
I loved another book by this author, so I picked this one up prepared to be entertained. I kept waiting for that to happen and it never did. Will had no personality and the only reason we knew that Lexi loved him was because she kept telling us. The big surprise was obvious from the beginning and I was so bored by the end that I just skipped over the last 30 pages.
